Pastor Jerry Buss
Pastor Jerry Buss: Jerry was raised in the Midwest, working on dairy farms and growing up in a family where his father was also a Lutheran pastor. After graduating from high school in Berthoud, Colorado, he attended the Colorado School of Mines and Pacific Lutheran University, graduating from P.L.U. in Tacoma, Washington with a BA in history.
Jerry received a Master of Divinity from Luther Northwestern Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. His first call was as an associate pastor at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Beaverton, Oregon. He then served as pastor of Peace Lutheran Church in Astoria, Oregon. In August of 1999,
Jerry was installed as the seventh pastor of Oak Harbor Lutheran Church. Jerry enjoys playing racquetball and basketball for exercise, and looks forward to learning to kayak in the waters of Puget Sound.

Lynne Ogren serves as both the Director of Family Ministry and the Music Minister and is an Associate in Ministry with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. She has been on staff here since 1995 when she and her family relocated to Oak Harbor from Grass Valley, CA. Her background is in elementary education and she is a lifelong Lutheran. She is married and has two children who attend school in the Oak Harbor School District.
